Job Responsibilities
- To manage the daily operation in finance, accounting, and tax department
- Prepare periodical management reporting and regularly produce financial reports or statements
- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
- Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy
- Take responsibility for accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity, tax, etc
- Set up and monitor departmental KPIs, goals, and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
- To review and set up internal finance, accounting, and tax procedure & policy
- Encourage other employees to adhere to standards
- Recruit, hire and train new employees within the department
- Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- To review monthly and annual tax report & tax returns
- Accurately preparing and filing federal and state tax returns in a timely manner
- Identify tax problems and develop solutions
- Complete responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits
- Monitor developments in tax legislation
- Handle tax audit, included as the company representative in tax court
- To manage the company’s cash flow & hedging
- Provide and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
- Advice on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
- Maintain the financial health of the organization
- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
- Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
- Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
- Assist in any ad-hoc duties assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking
- Minimum 5 years experience as Finance, Accounting and Tax Manager at Property Industry background will be advantaged
- Strong knowledge in Financial Statement, Accounting Reporting, Cost Accounting, Tax, and Fund Management
- Familiar with Tax Regulation and Legality
- Good interpersonal, good coordination, and reporting skills
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager and Financial controller
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- Proficient user of finance software
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Good appearance
- Able to commit to at least 24 months employment contract
